The first series include only one test, which played in Delhi in 1996-97, which India won by the 7 wickets. The second series was played in 1997-98 in India which hosts won 2-1.The only victory for Aussies came in last match of the series at Bangalore with some inspiring bowling from Kasper, the right arm medium fast who took five wickets to settle a target of 194 which Aussies chased down at loss of 3 wickets. Tendulkar named man of series for his 464 runs in series. The next series played in Australia, which they won comprehensively 3-0.

Preview of last match:
With the series level, Indian will want a good batting track which assist spinners later on so they can score more runs then first two tests. On the other hand, Australia will also be looking for a good track.
For India, it will be interesting to see how Kohli performs because he is the player who can be difference in batting alongside KL, who looks in good touch. In bowling they will depend on Jadeja & Ashwin and both will hold the key in last 2 days.
For Australia Smith and warner has to perform if they have to take something out of this series while if Maxwell get a chance then it will be interesting to see how his aggressive nature helps him. On other end they will be looking towards Lyon and Cummins who had bowled really well in 3rd Test.
