Cricket Comes Home.

On 3 March 2009, a militant group containing 12 gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan Cricket team near the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore which was touring Pakistan. They were on their way to play the third day of the second test match which was to be played against Pakistan. Six members of the Sri Lanka national cricket team were injured. Six Pakistani policemen and two civilians were killed. The Sri Lankan Cricket Team was immediately sent back to their homeland.

Since then, doors of international cricket were closed upon Pakistan. It has been 8 years since Pakistani grounds were filled with the chants of Pakistan, the stands have been empty since then.

The Zimbabwe Cricket Team toured Pakistan in 2015 but it didn’t help a lot. We are thankful of them by our hearts for making us to visit our grounds again and taking our hopes to a higher level.
