The Missing Sharjeel Effect

Destructive and Catastrophic opener of Pakistan Sharjeel Khan has been suspended a little while back by the anti corruption code  because of match-fixing concerns. Sharjeel Khan was a very heroic and tremendous asset for Pakistan team as an opener and his suspension may have some predicted consequences which can be squealed in Pakistan Loss.

He had played some outstanding knocks and beautiful cricket all over his stint and was awesome right from the start. Performing at inaugural PSL and scoring the only century it was his way to mark his stint in the team. He shined in Pakistan jersey and simply devastated the line and length of bowlers with his sturdy shots and his famous hip-pull. He played 25 One-day internationals for Pakistan scoring 812 runs with average of 32.48 and balanced strike rate of 113.40. Furthermore, he played 15 T20I for Pakistan scoring 360 runs at an average of 24.00 and whooping Strike Rate of 137.40. However, he only played 1 Test match for Pakistan and scored only 44 runs in his debut match.

The newly named Pakistan’s Limited over captain Sarfraz Ahmed has also been found missing sharjeel and calamitous starts. He was caught saying

“Definitely we are missing Sharjeel as he was good enough to give us good start, but we will carry on as we have best available players like Kamran and shehzad.”

It is a good sign that even after the loss of sharjeel there are several big names to replace his feet but still the ruinous cricket of sharjeel will be missed but if he is found guilty he would be punished.

Along with Sharjeel, the other Pakistani opener Khalid Latif has also been suspended. Mohammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hassan are also included in the suspended list. They have still not found guilty and not even proven innocent so any of the result between the two will be changing the careers of these players. Its good for Pakistan if they are innocent otherwise it’s a shame for players like these calibers.
