As PSL heads closer towards its play-offs, with three teams already qualified and ensured their positions, it is without any doubt that the fans of PSL have seen close encounters one after the other, and it just gets harder to decide that which one was better after the other. Why is it?
Well, at this point; PCB have done a great job. Announcing the draft system and categorizing the players perfectly. All the teams to have competed in PSL have similar squads, as in they are equally balanced. When all squads are equally balanced, you can expect a lot of thriller’s thunder through the way.
Before PSL started, the officials promised the fans for PSL to be bigger and better. There is no doubt in that, this PSL has been bigger, better and more thrilling as well.
It was about Lahore Qalandars who scored only 59 runs in Dubai against Peshawar Zalmi, everyone thought it was going to be a one-sided encounter and easy winnings for the Zalmi’s. Guess what? Even that match went down to the wire as the Zalmi’s were 52 for the loss of 7 wickets at a stage. Although the match ended in the favor of Peshawar, it’s fair enough to say that it was another thriller for the fans.
So far there have been added finger tips number of games that have not failed to thrill the fans, Peshawar Zalmi who are now on top of the table with 9 points, Quetta second with 9, Islamabad third with 8, Karachi fourth with 6 and finally Lahore fifth with 6. The qualification of Lahore comes down to net run rate which will be decided in the clash between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings tonight at 21:00PM PKT.
The points table itself is so equal within itself, that if Islamabad manages to win against Karachi today with a margin, you best believe the Qalandars are returning back to PSL for the play-offs. As to be said, Islamabad defended 5 in the last over the other night courtesy to Mohammad Sami’s ruthless bowling which secured Islamabad a place in the play-offs. Yet another thrilling outcome.
This PSL did not decide it’s all four play-offs contenders till the very last match of group stage, with all the teams being balanced this PSL, the fans hope to see more thrillers coming one after the other in the play-offs in consecutive succession.
