ACC plans a meet-up to discuss about hosting of Asia Cup 2020 in Pakistan

The chief of the Pakistan Cricket Boad (PCB), Wasim Khan has said earlier that Team Pakistan would not visit India for T20 World Cup T20 if BCCI would not send team India to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2020 and considering the situation, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided a meet-up plan by February as confirmed by the sources of ACC on Wednesday.

“It is not the prerogative of the PCB or the ICC to change the host as it was the decision of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC),” Pakistan daily Dawn quoted Wasim as saying.

“We are currently considering two venues to host the Asia Cup. If India doesn’t come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, we would also refuse participation in the  T20 World Cup there,” he added.

The political conditions on two sides are not sound enough that has been the reason for neglecting tour and also might be the security issues but PCB is trying hard to solve such woes. As an outcome, international cricket has made its way back to Pakistan.

On the entire situation, ACC has came up with some words that concise about a meeting to take place in February which might consider woes regarding Pakistan and India to tour each other’s country for mega ICC events. However, ACC has made it clear that they cannot grant any guarantee as it is the matter of India and Pakistan but will make the confirmation about if or not the event will take place by will of Pakistan or not.

“I cannot make a comment on this, this is a matter between India and Pakistan,” it said.

“ACC will have a meeting sometime in February to discuss issues related to the hosting of the Asia Cup this year. This year Pakistan is the host so it is Pakistan’s call if they want to host the tournament or not,” the source was quoted as saying by SportsRush
