Big Bash League

Young Pakistani star signs up for Big Bash League

The emerging Pakistani leg spinner Shadab Khan who has been going places ever since he burst into the scene, first making a good impression in the PSL with Islamabad United then contributing big time to help Pakistan claim their first ever Champions Trophy and later going on to participate in the Caribbean Premiere League in which he again performed brilliantly resulting in 2 back to back man of the match awards. Now the Young Leggie has another opportunity to showcase his talent in the Big Bash League representing Brisbane Heats as a replacement for Samuel Badree which confirms the Caribbean Leggie will not return for the 7th season of the league.

Shadab Khan is all set to contest in his third T20 league which means he has a fair bit of experience in these type of leagues and no doubt he has performed well in the previous seasons like the PSL and CPL. The 18 year old will be replacing the veteran leg spinner Samuel Badree who has been a valuable player in the side so it will be quite challenging for Shadab to perform as good as Badree and justify himself as his replacement that too in his debut season of the Big Bash but just like everyone saw in The Caribbean Premier League, Shadab did extraordinarily well despite being a debut league for him as an overseas player.

Another benefit to Shadab is that he will continue playing alongside the Kiwi great Brendon McCallum who was highly impressed with Shadab and is leading Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL has also helped motivate Shadab to do well in the tournament so the guidance would give the newcomer extra confidence before heading into this massive tournament.

Brisbane Heat has successfully managed to find a replacement as good as Samuel Badree in Shadab Khan. looking at his consistent performances the young star will be considered a valuable player in the side as Shadab Khan has the ability to take wickets along with controlling the runs as well as smack a few outside the park with the bat. There is no doubt If Shadab turns out to be a successful pick throughout the league then there is a huge possibility of making Shadab Khan a permanent player of the Big Bash which is very good for the young lad as he will keep getting further opportunities in the future.
