ICC has entered into a partnership with the multinational company Intel. The aim of this partnership is to change cricket and bring advance technology in the game.
ICC and Intel group both agreed to include influential and modern technologies in the cricketing world to make it more eventful for the viewers. These technologies will also benefit the players as they will be able to visualize the performance of their opponents in Virtual reality (VR) and Augmented reality (AR).
ICC chief executive David Richardson was quite glad about this collaboration and said
“This is an exciting announcement from the ICC as we continue to focus on innovation and technology to enhance both the game and the experience of the fans. The innovations on which we’re working with Intel for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 are like nothing we’ve seen before in the sports. I’m delighted to welcome intel in to the ICC family”.
The general manager of the Intel sports group James Carwana was also seemed confident about this decision. He said,
“Cricket is the world’s second most popular game and as the official innovation partner of ICC champions trophy, we are excited to integrate Intel technology in this tournament”. He also added,”we will be deploying a range of technology at the event as part of our ongoing effort to bring a new level of data analytics to sports and to revolutions how athletes train, coaches teach, scouts evaluate talent and fans enjoy sports”.
This global event ,which is starting from 1st June to 18th June is going to be full of excitement for the fans and the players as these new technologies are going to attract viewers around the world and they will also help the players to improve their performance.
