Dominica Test – Dominated By Bowlers

Five wickets on Day-3 and it was assumed by almost everyone that the historic Dominica Test is proceeding towards a draw, but it is cricket and you never know what’s gonna happen on the very next day. One good spell and one good session can change the course of the match.

Muhammad Amir opened the gate on the fourth ball of the very first over of the day by knocking up the stumps of Dowrich, Rest of the destruction was done and dusted by Muhammad abbas with his first ever 5 wickets haul.

Hosts only managed to add 29 to their over-night total and finished their innings on 247 with a deficit of 129 runs.

In Reply, Pakistan also lost their first two wickets for just 8 runs at the stroke of lunch. Pakistani batsmen tried to extend lead in a bit hurry and lost wickets quickly one after the other.

1st session of Day-4 was a tricky one and pulled back the life in to the final test. Pakistan lost their 7 wickets for just 90 runs, but a crucial partnership of 61 for the 8th wicket between Amir & Shah frustrated the hosts and pulled them out of the game.

At the score of 174 Misbah Ul Haq declared the innings for the last time. Pakistan settled a difficult target of 304 for the hosts in almost 100 odd overs.

Yasir Shah returned with a magical delivery to dismiss Powell. With the dismissal of Powell umpires uprooted the bails and West Indies finished their day for just 7 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 6.3 overs.

Day-4 was totally dominated by bowlers. 210 runs were scored throughout the day for the loss of 14 wickets.

It seems more difficult for West Indies to save this test match. They need 297 more runs to win and 90 overs to survive. Pakistan are right on the driving seat. Yasir will be crucial on the last day to face. Saving this test match will be a miracle and a moral victory for the hosts.

Pakistan will try to finish the things as soon as possible to create history and to say goodbye to the un-sung heroes of Pakistan on a victory stand.
