Shahid Afridi smashes 42-ball century to send Hampshire into T20 Blast finals.

Afridi’s hundred off 42 balls is the second fastest by a Pakistani in T20 & the fourth fastest in domestic T20 in England.
“I really enjoyed playing that innings and this is the way to play Cricket. I kept saying to the team and Captain from yesterday that you’re wasting me down at 7 send me to open the innings,” Afridi said, after his brilliant 101 his first century in the shortest form of the game.
“I am never afraid of failures. Failures to me mean opportunity and challenge and it’s always good to face them.”
“The last time I opened the batting for Hampshire was finals day in 2011 but the main thing is confidence and I felt confident today.”
“In crucial games you have to take chances. The first six overs are important and you need batters who play aggressively like me to utilise this.”
Afridi’s previous high score this season was just 18, He reached his fifty off only 20 balls with a top-edged six.
