The ODI Winning Streak Continues

There is no stopping the men in Green as of late, they have been cruising like a car that has forgotten to apply brakes. Senior Players like Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik stood up and showed responsibility, youngsters like Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Babar Azam have been performing consistently well. In other words, the Pakistani fans are on cloud nine at the moment.

After handing the Lankan Lions their 3rd ODI whitewash in a single year, Pakistan has managed to maintain the Champions Trophy form going and have kept the winning streak alive with Nine consecutive One Day Matches under the belt.. Hassan Ali at his best yet again with the ball grabbing his second Man of the Series Award which he richly deserved claiming 14 wickets. Babar Azam did his job pretty well with the bat scoring over 300 runs and delivering match winning performances.

The next task for the Green Team will be in January when they fly all the way to New Zealand to meet the Black Caps in a 5 Match ODI series and a 3 match T20 series. It will no doubt be a challenging tour as no team is easy to beat at their home venue and especially a strong limited overs team like New Zealand.

A team that was on the urge of playing World Cup Qualifiers a few months back now looks like a very tough team to beat in the one day format, Young Cricketers giving their absolute best every match, aggressive Captain in Sarfaraz Ahmed leading from the front along with the seniors. The Pakistan Cricket Team has the potential to beat any team on their day and become a very powerful one day side as new players series by series are being introduced and given an opportunity to play wearing the Green Jersey.
