Sony joins PCB for broadcasting Pakistan matches

PCB has been making massive progress in every aspect of cricket. Recently the news of international broadcasters showing Pakistan series and PSL has been making waves all around. Willow TV, Flow Sports, Sky Sports, are some of the well-known names on the list.

On January 24th it was announced by Pakistan Cricket Board that Sony Network would be joining that list.

Rajesh Kahul, The chief revenue officer, distribution, and head sports business, SPN India seemed delighted about this partnership and had a few words to say.

“Sony Pictures Network India has acquired the broadcast rights of the Pakistan Cricket Board for tenure of three years. SPN will air all of Pakistan’s home international games along with the HBL Pakistan Super League. With the acquisition of PCB rights, Sony pictures network India has broadcast rights to a total of five international cricket boards.”

Wasim Khan, The CEO Of PCB, also had high hopes for this new development and articulated his views in a few words.

“The PCB welcomes Sony Pictures Network India to its list of elite broadcasters who will have right to Pakistan’s bilateral series and HBL PSL 2021-23. Through this partnership cricket fans in South Asia will be able to follow and enjoy high-quality cricket action in Pakistan across all formats featuring some of the finest modern-day stars.”

Sony will now broadcast all of home matches for Pakistan as well as broadcast Pakistan Super League for three years.
