India and Pakistan have always been arch-rivals and two conflicting nations over politics. The burning sensation due to politics has hit the cricket and spirit of the game badly since last few years. Senior cricketing bodies even sometimes make hateful comments on their social media platforms regarding players and the game although it shall stay restricted to political tensions only.
The conflicts stepping into cricket has given both nations the worst time as the fans are freakingly waiting for Indo-Pak bilateral series. Pakistan and India faced each other in a bilateral series back in 2012-13. Since then, the combat between two only happened in the mega-events organized by ICC.
The fastest of all bowlers, Shoaib Akhtar, recently presented an idea of organizing Indo-Pak three-match ODI series to raise COVI-19 funds. The idea, however, was declined by many and urged to criticism.
Now, Ramiz Raja, most talented and well-known commentator from Pskistan, have disclosed the same view as of Akhtar but, not in order to raise COVID-19 funds, instead to reduce hatred friction among both nations.
“I don’t know why there is unwanted pressure in cricket. Through cricket, we can learn and understand each other. We need to take a chance. I am ready for an India-Pakistan series,” Raja said.
“We need to take baby steps. In the 2019 World Cup, the India-Pakistan match was a high point. The broadcasters, administrators need the India-Pakistan match. Fans need to push for the matches to be organized in a neutral venue,” he added.
