Chris Lynn’s IPL campaign seems doubtful after the 27 years-old Australian suffered a shoulder injury while diving in the field against Mumbai Indians on Sunday. This is the third time in last two years that Lynn has got injury on the same shoulder. Lynn was in extreme pain after he clutches his joint while trying to attempt an outfield catch to dismiss Jos Buttler of Mumbai Indians.
After the match, Lynn tweeted
“Dear Cricket Gods, did I do something wrong?”
Chris Lynn will be out for a certain time. Lynn started off the tournament with a blistering 91 off 41 balls. And added a quick knock of 32 against Mumbai Indians.
Lynn has been one of the best T20 batsman in last 2 to 3 years. He was man of the tournament in BBL 2016 and 2017 as well which earned him a place in the Australian One-day squad. However, Lynn sustained another injury and rumours were in the air saying that he might consider focusing on T20 cricket rather than First-Class.
It’s also Chris Lynn’s birthday today but it’s not the best way to celebrate a birthday in this situation.
