The 11th match of HBL PSL 2 will take place today between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. It will be telecast-ed today on 15:30 Local Time (16:30 PKT). It will be interesting to see this nail-biting contest.
Lahore Qalandars in this season are quite decent comparing to the last season. They have played fine cricket since the start of this season and they are probably looking the best fielding side in this tournament. They have won 2 out of four games they have played and in their latest match they have defeated Karachi Kings in a thriller.
Quetta Gladiators have continued their form in all aspects of the game and played well throughout. Separating the last abandoned match they have won 2 out of three games and now they are on second on the points table just behind Peshawar.
Both the teams have played against each other thrice and Quetta have won two of them. In their meeting in this season, both of them played outstanding cricket justifying the standard of the league. Quetta gave Lahore target of 138, replying to that Lahore was all out on 127 with the help of Quetta’s new bowling sensation Hasan khan. Quetta now have some upper hand are favorites to win the game today.
Lahore Qalandars in this tournament have some tremendous batting order with Brendon Mccullum and Jason Roy opening, Fakhar Zaman at No 3 and Umar Akmal and Grant Elliot in the middle order but they are lacking some power hitting from the bottom which may cost them some runs.
Their top order have more responsibility while Quetta’s batting and bowling standard are upto the mark. They are getting power starts from likes of Ahmed Shehzad and then some fine innings by Sarfaraz and pinch hitting by Thisara Perera. Kevin Pieterson needs to stand up as he has only scored 3 runs in three matches he played. Coming to the bowling, Quetta are highly appreciated with their bowling efforts as they have Muhammad Nawaz, young Hasan Khan and Anwar Ali. They are balanced and very much exciting.
It will be arousing to see who performs well for their team. Will Quetta reach another success or Lahore will thrash them down with their experience?
