Martin Guptill becomes the first batsman to score 180+ thrice in ODIs

Today while playing 4th ODI vs South Africa at Hamilton, Martin Guptill smashed a stunning 180 to grab the victory and kept the ODI series alive. Guptill scored 180 runs on 138 balls with a strike rate of 130.43 which includes 15 fours and 11 sixes in it. With this match winning innings, Martin Guptill becomes the first batsman to score 180+ thrice in ODIs.

It was also the 4th highest score while chasing.

Before Guptill, Viv Richards, Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma have scored 180+ twice in their career.

Martin Guptill in post match ceremony:  We just kept talking about taking it as deep as we can. It was important to rotate the strike and then accelerate in the end. Myself and Ross had a good partnership.
