Match Report : Pakistan Vs World XI 2nd T20I

Another match in Pakistan, Another twist, many fans tearing apart their voices. The match this time was a thriller and was definitely a treat to watch.

It all started off with the dust storm in the start, but later the toss was decided, Pakistan won the toss and chose to continue yesterday’s game plan and elected to batting. Start was very much good this time, with Fakhar getting a tremendous start along with Ahmad Shehzad but Morne Morkel’s length was brilliant, Badree took a breakthrough removing Fakhar, later Babar and Shehzad developed a handy partnership but when the scire was being made Shehzad and Babar got out successively. Shoaib Malik resumed the momentum with Imad on the other hand, Imad played few shots and was dismissed. Skipper had a golden duck but big hits from Malik at the end took score till 175.

World XI was looking in form, specially their Openers Tamim and Hashim Amla. Amla was timing the ball brilliantly and had a great start but later Tamim was removed, Paine joined and he struggled and was dismissed while escaping. The Captain Faf du plessis joined and was continuing the RPO very well and match was looking in their hand but Nawaz had an economical spell and was bringing it back to Pakistan. Faf was out and the match had a twist, biggest gamble here was to send Perera instead of Miller. Perera was not able to score at the start 3(5) but later when 51 was needed from 24 balls. He was hitting the ball really hard, took the match to 6 from 2 balls and ended the match with a gigantic six off Rumman Raees’ slow full toss and World XI had their first ever win!!!!

Brilliant scenes, Brilliant batting and Pakistanis were also supporting them. Amla was the man of the match but Perera was man of the moment. Hope the third match will be a nail-biting decider.
