The National Assembly Committee of Pakistan’s sports has advised the authorities and federations to start a campaign and convince international sports bodies to stop India from being hosting any International event. This all started when Indian home minister said that: “Pak-India cricket series impossible in current scenario.”
Pakistan Cricket Board chief Shahryar Khan informed the committee that legal notice was sent to the BCCI for refusing a bilateral series which was already signed by both parties back in 2014. He also said India has been withdrawn from three out of six series till 2023. This will cost Pakistan a lot. An agreement was signed in 2014 that both countries will play six bilateral series in next eight years. Shahryar Khan added: “If we don’t get a reply from BCCI then we’ll move the dispute to resolution committee of international cricket council.” Shahryar Khan also informed the committee that from last two years, Pakistan tried to hold series at neutral venues but the Indians refused to play the bilateral series.
As Pakistan’s Wrestling and Squash Federation had recently complained that the visas were denied by the Indian High Commission due to which teams were unable to take part in an event. In past few months, India denied visas to cricketers, wrestlers, boxers and squash players and due to this hypocrisy Pakistani players couldn’t take part in the events which were held in India.
On this issue, committee chairman Mushahidullah said: “India is destroying sports in Pakistan.” Mushahidullah added: “By refusing visas to Pakistani sports’ teams for international events in India, the Indian authorities have exposed themselves. They are mixing sports with politics”
