Pakistan Team Announced For European Tour & World Hockey League

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) announced a strong squad for European tour.Abdul Haseem Khan will lead Pakistan team while Bahawalpur’s Umar Bhutta is vice captain. Haseem Khan has been retained captain because if his outstanding performance in New Zealand tour.

Goalkeepers:

Amjad Ali & Mazhar Abbas

Defenders/Halfbacks:

Nawaz Ashfaq, Aleem Bilal, Abubakr Mahmood, M.Rizwan Jr,

Atif Mushtaq, Tasawwar Abbas & Ammad Shakeel Butt

Forwards:

Umar Bhutta, M.Irfan Jr, Arslan Qadir, Ali Shan, Mohammad Dilber,

Ejaz Ahmed, Abdul Haseem Khan, Azfar Yaqoob & Umair Sarfraz

According to PHF , “Team is a mixture of experienced and young players and it has the ability to produce good results”.

Pakistan hockey team will participte in FIH World Hockey League semifinal round in London, which holds the status of 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Prior to World Hockey League , Pakistan team will play four test matches against 10th ranked Spain  in May. After this series Pakistan team will fly to Ireland, to play three match test series against host in Lisnagarvey Hockey Club.
