Pakistani bowlers were exceptional. Hassan Ali took two wickets with a great economy and did a great run out. Shadab khan bowled amazingly and made us realize his worth while taking one wicket. Imad Wasim also took a valuable wicket. Rumman Raees also sent one batsmen back to pavilion and celebrated in his unique style. Wahab Riaz also helped Pakistan bowling by taking one valuable wicket. Pakistani bowlers controlled the run rate very well. From the West Indies side, the opener Chadwick Walton scored 40 runs. Marlon Samuels rescued West Indies team by scoring 22 runs. The destructive Captain Carlos Brathwaite scored crucial 37 runs. The total that the windies needed to defend was 124.
The Pakistani openers played confidently in the power play. Kamran Akmal scored 20 runs on 21 balls at a strike rate of 95 and lost his wicket by throwing an easy catch to Williams while Samuels was bowling. Ahmed Shehzad played a great knock and scored valuable 53 runs on 45 balls at a strike rate of 117 and brought Pakistan to a comfortable position while Babar azam was on the other end. Ahmed gave his wicket to Williams. Consistency is in Babar’s blood as he scored 38 runs on 35 balls at a strike rate of 105 and gave Pakistan a cherished partnership. He was also a prey of Williams as his catch was caught in Powell’s hands on the bowl of Williams. Shoaib Malik finished the innings in a classy style by scoring a boundary while the skipper was on the other end.
Pakistan won the series by 3-1 and jumped to 4 position from 6. Hassan Ali was declared man of the match for his belligerent spell of 2 for 12. The young sensation Shadab khan was declared man of the series for his breathtaking bowling throughout the three matches. The cricket fans are desperately waiting for a great ODI series to happen.
