Amir and Sarfaraz had a funny interaction on twitter about Amir’s spell in Champions Trophy Final

Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Amir shone as Pakistan defied the odds to overwhelm arch-rivals India by 180 runs and pull off a major upset in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval — on this day in 2017.

Pakistan had come into the tournament as the lowest-ranked team and lost heavily to India in their opening group match but they beat South Africa and Sri Lanka to make the semi-finals where they knocked out hosts England.

One of the chief architects of the win, Amir, also posted a message on Twitter, terming it as one the best days of his life.

“One of the best day of my life champion trophy final 2017 ALHUMDULILAH,” Amir tweeted.

Sarfaraz then got into a fun interaction with Amir and said that the left-arm pacer should have bowled another over in his first spell.

“7thwa over be karna chahiye the apko,” Sarfaraz wrote.

In reply Amir said, “Us se phele hi jeet gaye the hum. ALHUMDULILAH”.

The interaction didn’t end here and Sarfaraz said that there was another reason for not bowling the 7th over.

“Haha nahe nahe baat kuch Aur the. YAad karen babu yaad aye ga!warna phir me sms karke bata ya ho. Garmi the na bohot,” Sarfaraz wrote.

In reply Amir revealed the main reason behind not bowling the 7th over.

“Babu me injury k bad khail rha tha medicine le rha tha final se phele to is din cramp arhe the,” Amir said.
