Another ex-Arsenal and Portuguese player Boe Morte has been named as the player who will be visiting Pakistan in July for Leisure League. He is currently a manager of Sintrense, a Portuguese football club based in Sintra. He used to play at midfield and scored 61 goals in all competitions. He is the sixth player to join Ronaldinho, Robert Pires, Nicolas Anelka, David James and Jerome Boateng.
He expressed his views through a video message. “I’m excited to come to Pakistan as I have never been to the country so looking forward.” He is excited to be a part of this family.
This League is an initiative to bring international stars to Pakistan for a charity match. Leisure League Pakistan wants to promote sports in Pakistan. LLP also announced that Real Madrid player will also be joining them and they will reveal on June 2.
Anas Trunkwala, the director world group said; “Players will also get a chance to be trained by international coaches and play on thousands of football pitches in Pakistan.”
He added; “Football is a tremendously popular sport in Pakistan and this move will aid development at grassroots level. This league will provide a much-needed platform for young talent in Pakistan to come forward and acquire the skills necessary to play football at an international level.”
