The dominant batting of the Men in Green on the opening day of the first test match against the home-siders, England led Pakistan to knock an explosive chase of 326 runs. The mighty score worried England’s bowlers and they came up better the next day grabbing Pakistan’s batting line-up on an average score of 169.
However, the Men in Green batting tactics were below expectations for Pakistan’s fans, but the inning summed up decently after Yasir Shah added his appreciative 33 which gave them a lead of 276 runs.
As the home-siders could smash 219 falling short of wickets in their first innings, they carry a decent trail that might be troubling them to meet the target on the available pitch conditions.
Pakistan vs England: Pitch conditions do not seem to be in hosts favor, chase might be challenging
The slow and dry pitch might diminish England’s batsman dominating Pakistan’s only two spinners as the ball grips friction on the pitch with no grass. Shadab Khan, and Yasir Shah, who grabbed two and four wickets respectively in England’s first innings, are supposed to grab more in the second innings of hosts ending the test one with victory on Day 4.
