Karachi: Javed Miandad, the most legendary Pakistani former batsman, captain, and the most prominent name from ICC World Cup 1992, has expressed his views out and said to PM Imran Khan to take a glance on the current situation of Pakistan Cricket Team.
While talking to Geo News, Miandad said,
“There is lack of professionalism in the team which comes probably only from departmental cricket”.
Miandad also articulated about former Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmad who recently has been sacked off as skipper from all three formats of cricket.
He demonstrated that, Sarfaraz owns a place in the national team as no doubt he was a skipper with brilliant wicket keeping approaches and wicket keeper should only be out of team in a case if he has bad wicket-keeping performance.
“It was the decision of the board to sack him from captaincy but, it was intemperance to eliminate him from the team too”, he added.
On the case of Misbah, he expressed that it would not result in positive results for Pakistan Cricket if the same person is given with three huge titles as their responsibilities i.e: Head coach, chief selector, and head coach of Islamabad United (PSL franchise).
“Positive results arrive when roles are distributed evenly among different peoples. It is subtle to give three posts at once to Misbah. Imran Khan should have a look on the current situation of the team”. He further added.
