Kapil Dev vs Shoaib Akhtar got a spotlight again

The former fast bowler and the hard-hitting middle-order batsman of the Indian Cricket Team, recently has been the part of the fuming news for criticizing the former Pakistani bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest of all bowlers.

In recent times, Shoaib presented an idea of the Indo-Pak bilateral series so Coronavirus charity funds could be raised. Kapi turned him down highly criticizing him by saying that BCCI has got enough money and organizing a bilateral series among two nations ain’t an option by any means as we cannot make that much money from just a few games.

Shoaib, however, got the support of his former fellows who said that India vs Pakistan shall take place, not to raise the charity funds, but in order to reduce the friction of hatred among the arch-rivals.

This time, Kapil, keeping in mind the prior idea of the Rawalpindi Express, opined that it would be their first priority to reopen the educational institutes rather than holding a series at this critical time and the neighbors shall first stop making activities at the border if they want to make money.

“I am looking at the larger picture. Do you think cricket is the only issue we can talk about? I am rather worried about the children who are not being able to go to schools and colleges because that is our young generation. So, I want schools to reopen first. Cricket, football will happen eventually,” Kapil was quoted as saying in DNA.

“You could be emotional and say that yes, India and Pakistan should play matches. Playing matches is not a priority at the moment. If you need the money then you should stop the activities at the border,” the veteran added.

“If we really need money then we have so many religious organizations, they should come forward. It is their responsibility. We offer so much when we visit the religious shrines, so they should help the government,” he added.

India and Pakistan have always been the foe nations since their birth. The political tensions have gone deep down as they are into cricket as well which have formed the people of both sides the contestants of each other. Cricket among both the nations means “The War of Hatred”. Pakistan has always thought of taking positive steps towards them but the racist people from neighboring countries always went for rejection of the series proposal which clearly shows their hatred for the cricket and peace-loving people of Pakistan.
