Talking to the reporters Miandad said, money has become everything for players now PCB must take strict action and regulate laws designed for this hideous crime, he demands strict actions against the accused players
Sharing his views on the spot fixing scandal he said, “Why don’t you take strong measures? You should give death penalty to such people. We must not tolerate such things, not at all.”
The former captain added that one strict punishment will save thousands others from getting involved
Another former captain, Shahid Afridi said, “When a player knows he will be forgiven and brought back into the national fold after four or five years, there isn’t any fear or deterrence.” He further added that cricket can never be cleansed until corrupt elements are banned
In a recent cascade of events; Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Shahzaib Hassan, Nasir Jamshed and Khalid Latif have already been suspended from all formats of the game due to spot fixing scandal.
