Misbah ul Haq talks about players performance at Australia tour

The recently delegated lead head coach and chief selector of Pakistan National Team, Misbah ul Haq has discussed the execution of players performance in Pakistan tour of Australia in which Aussies have obliterated Pakistans’ batting and bowling line-ups and Pakistan lost Test and T20 arrangement dreadfully.

Misbah has reasoned that the circumstance at the Australia were bad so that, the players have failed to perform.

Misbah-ul-Haq said that, the form of the main players like Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah is a matter of concern. He also added that the conditions in Australia were not suitable for the spinners because of which Yasir Shah failed.

“The conditions were not suitable here at Australia for spinners so, it was hard for them to perform and thus, they failed”, said Misbah.

He has utilized Nathan Lyon’s performance as a card for Pakistan Cricket team and said that, he additionally failed to perform and was battling for grabing up the wickets at Day 2 and 3 in any case, it was Lyon’s home conditioned pitches.

As per Misbah, Yasir Shah, who is Pakistani leg spinner, has failed to perform on Australian pitches because of conditions there and he has constantly given upto the beat execution in Asian conditions.

“When you come and play in these conditions, it’s difficult for spinners. Lyon got wickets on the last day in second Test also, before that he had two wickets. In Asian conditions, Yasir’s performances have always been good and we’re looking forward to him stepping up there and performing well because he’s our main match-winner,” he added.

However, Pakistan is yet to win a match (either red ball or white ball) under Misbah’s coaching and mentoring. Pakistan cricket is going through critical times and their defeat at Adelaide has maintained their 14th Test losing streak against Australia.
