The speedster veteran, Shoaib Akhtar, has taken a dig at the Indian Premier League (IPL) after which the Board of Control of India (BCCI) is running at any cost.
Many assume the International Cricket Council (ICC) has chosen to postpone the T20 World Cup to opaque the window for IPL. Akhtar, being one of them, says let the World Cup go to hell and let the domestic league get preference over it.
He had already suspected it earlier and as the similar has happened of his suspicion, the player believes he knew the Indians won’t let T20 World Cup to be kicked off for the sake of their cash-rich T20 league.

“T20 World Cup could have also happened, but I had already said this earlier that they won’t let it happen. IPL should not be damaged, let the World Cup go to hell,” he said while speaking to Geo Cricket on a Youtube.
He believes the Asia Cup could have also happened to give the arch-rivals, India, and Pakistan, to face each other. Suspecting towards more bitter realities, the veteran said that he don’t wanna touch the depth.
“Asia Cup could have definitely happened, it would have been a great chance for India and Pakistan to play against each other. There are many reasons for this. I don’t want to get into that,” he further added.
