Pakistan cricket board’s chief executive position is a prestige one and for now it belongs to Wasim Khan. Khan did his MBA from Warwick business school and has played cricket professionally, later he was appointed as the managing director for PCB in the year 2018.
As per now his contract with PCB is until February 2022 but it is being speculated that Khan might get an extension for two more years. According to a PCB source, the decision isn’t final and set on paper but talks regarding it are already in progress. The decision will only been have to made when Khan’s tenure last 12 months would be remaining. Khan would have to inform PCB by January whether he wants to continue or not, if he agrees then a formal contract will be offered to him.
Pakistan cricket has been thriving under his leadership and it would be interesting to see what his extension would bring to the country and it’s cricket.
