Blazing Gladiators will face the inform Zalmi side in the lightning atmosphere of Lahore! Zalmi didn’t have the best start this year but came back hard! With inform players like Kamran Akmal who just smashed a ton against the Kings, Hafeez who has a fifty behind him and with bowlers like Jordan, Hasan Ali and Wahab who can really change the game! Quetta looks very good too, despite losing their four overseas players KP, Wright, Mills & Rossouw. With the mind of Sarfraz and Shehzad on the top of the order, you can only expect destruction! Last time they faced each other it was the thriller in Sharjah when Gladiators edged Zalmi by a run courtesy Nawaz’s last over.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS
Peshawar’s plus point would be keeping all their overseas players, even with the loss of Shahid Afridi, Sammy, Samuels, Jordan, Malan who are all looking good with centurion Akmal. The weakness they have is losing quick wickets at crucial stages which really hurts them, like we have seen all season. They have lots of bowling options as well with really keeps them in the game. With Quetta losing their inform KP, Mills would hurt them but with a fighter captain like Sarfraz Ahmed anything is possible. With Anamul Haque coming in for Quetta along with Elton Chigumbura who represented Quetta in PSL 1, he has also smashed a ton against Pakistan at Lahore in 2015. They still look very good! But still they may lack a bit in the bowling department.
