PSL is back in its full flow from its two-day break, and we had a match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium between the home team, Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators. Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss, and the Gladiators opted to field first.

Quetta cemented themselves as two early wickets fell, Luke Ronchi and Dawid Malan were bowled out by Naseem Shah.

For a couple of over’s, Islamabad struggled but as Shadab Khan’s hitting started, the cards were turned and Islamabad was back in the game. He struck three fours and two sixes in his innings of 39(25) as he was dismissed later by Ben Cutting.

Asif Ali’s and Colin Munro’s cameos were helpful for the United’s as Colin Ingram’s marvelous stance got them to a total of 187/7. Ingram remained not out as he scored 63 off 40.

Islamabad kept themselves steady and was looking the favorites to win, they had Quetta 102/4 at one stage with Jason Roy being the only good score of 50(30). But the calm of Islamabad was soon brought to an end by the Gladiator’s skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed’s dangerous batting. He hit five boundaries scoring 33 off 22 deliveries and gave his team a chance to win until he was bowled by Faheem Ashraf.

On the crease, Mohammad Nawaz was joined by Ben Cutting who smashed all hopes left of the Islamabad United fans all over the ground. The game went to the last over and the final runs were scored by Cutting as Quetta finished their chase.
