Kings thrashes Lahore in a nail bitting thriller

Wow Another match, another thriller, beauty of PSL. Karachi has beaten Lahore by 5 wicket in a do or die match. Pollard has played an unbelieveable knock to keep King’s hope alive for Playoffs. With 10 runs required of 2 balls, Pollard thrashes two back to back sixes to ensure the most needed victory for the kings.
With a sensible knock of 49 off 42 ball with 7 fours, Babar is the highest run scorer of the match and with this knock he has also become the new Hanif Mohamamd Cap holder of this season.
Situation for Lahore is now very complex, Karachi will have to lose by a huge margin to Islamabad tomorrow for Lahore to have any sort of a sniff at staying in. Otherwise Qalandars are out of the PSL season 2. So All eyes are now on Islamabad vs Karachi encounter,Which will be played tommorow at 9:00 pm

Man of the match Kieron Pollard: Thoroughly enjoyed it. At the end of it all, these are the sort of games you want to win for your team. We almost gave it away, but held on. With 14 to go, knew the bowler was under pressure. Didn’t get the boundary early, but I kept the composure and waited for him to miss so I could hit.

King’s Captain Kumar Sangakarra: I have really enjoyed the win. We did a lot of things right, a few wrong, but Pollard showed why he is so highly valued. He believes in his skill and backs himself, it’s one of those things people have to learn. It took a special effort like his and Babar’s, we were average at other times, so we need to improve.

Qalandar’s Captain Brendon McCullum: We’ve played some good cricket, but we just weren’t good enough tonight. I think we had enough runs and with the spinners we had, we were happy with the total. Our energy in the field was outstanding, but we had a couple of bad moments.
