Balochistan Cricket Association Wants Quetta Gladiators To Change Their Policies.

The cricket association of Balochistan unexpectedly showed their disappointment for not including players for Balochistan in Quetta Gladiators’ team for the upcoming season of PSL 3. It seems to be surprising that, the Balochistan cricket authorities who have been using funds for things other than cricket for years and have not produced any quality cricketers to be good enough to play First-Class cricket. They’ve criticized Quetta Gladiators’ management and demanded the T20 franchise to remove Quetta from it’s name.

“If you cannot include local Baloch cricketers in the Pakistan Super League then change the name of Quetta Gladiators,” said Hammad Mengal, Secretary of the Quetta Cricket Association.

Many people have been criticizing the pick of Azam Khan, the son of Moin Khan and for not retaining Bismillah Khan, who has not performed at any level for last two years. Due to that Quetta Gladiators’ decided to not to retain him for the next season. Bismillah Khan averages below 30 in all three formats with poor consistent performances recently.

Balochistan cricket association is forgetting that it is up to them to produce quality cricketers. Quetta Gladiators is just a franchise. But it is understandable that the people who could not bother to improve the quality of cricket in Balochistan would blame every excuse they find. Due to poor efforts by Balochistan cricket association,. many youngsters are forced to move to other provinces to pursue their cricketing career since Balochistan cricket association doesn’t provide them a proper stage to groom. Despite of a large number of talent in Balochistan, the Balochistan cricket association has done nothing to promote them.

A number of cricket lovers of Pakistan are demanding Quetta Gladiators’ to select talent from the province of Balochistan but they’re not seeing who’s fault it really is. Although some sources suggest that Quetta Gladiators’ will include one young player from Balochistan through emerging player camps. They might also include Bismillah Khan back in the squad for PSL 3.
