Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United, who were crowned champions in the third edition, will host a grand victory parade on April 8 to ‘commemorate and celebrate’ their second title.
Islamabad beat Peshawar Zalmi by three wickets in the National Stadium of Karachi on March 25 in front of a houseful crowd, and the franchise, owned by Leonine Global Sports, wants the fans to be a part of the celebrations.
“This is a proud moment for Islamabad United and for the people of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan and the entire Federation” owner of Islamabad United Ali Naqvi was quoted as saying in a press release.
Are foreign players coming?
As Islamabad United is hosting a grand victory parade on April 8 to ‘commemorate and celebrate’ their second title so there’s a hype going on whether their foreign players will be a part of that Parade or not and that hype reached to it’s peak when JP Duminy asked fans to come out in numbers and support team.

It’s not confirmed yet whether foreign players will be there or not because no official announcement has been made regarding this

Timing and Venue of event;
Date: 8th April, 2018
Location: D-Chowk to F-9 Park
Time: 4pm – 7.30pm
The parade will start at 16:30 PST from D-Chowk and will culminate in F9 Park where the public would be allowed to meet the players from the franchise and see the winner’s trophy as well.
3-day Islamabad Spring Festival is starting from Friday and the district administration has finalized the arrangements for three-day Islamabad Spring Festival.
The administration has arranged various colorful programmes for this mega event. Food stalls will be held at F-9 Park and traditional foods would be offered at the main venue. The food stalls will offer concessional products at the festival.
Cycling competition will be held from Zoo to Daman-e-Koh.
Water Sports will be held at Rawal lake including rowing, canoeing and angling. Flower exhibition will be held at the Rawal Lake view. Marathon race at Jinnah will be held. Music concert and Sufi night has been arranged and Mushaira will be also be held.
Tree plantation will be carried out at the Margallah Hills. A large number of citizens from twin cities will attend the festival. People from all walk of life have appreciated the arrangements for the mega event.
