PSL 2018

PSL Franchises picked their 21st player for the third edition of HBL PSL

A few weeks ago, PSL allowed franchises to increase their total salary cap by $25,000, which will enable them to pick another player in the drafts for players who will come to Lahore and Karachi for the PSL 3.

A few rumors have been circulating around that Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings have opted their picks.

According to the reports, Qalandars was going to pick Aizaz Cheema as their 20th player. Aizaz Cheema who has a healthy bowling record in T20s. He has taken 114 wickets in 84 matches at a whooping average of 19.96. Cheema has also represented Pakistan in T20i, he has played 5 matches and has taken 8 wickets at an average of 14.50. He was dropped after being selected for the 2016 Asia Cup.

Along with Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings were thinking to pick Asif Zakir or the very famous Fawad Alam. KK also need to pick a player to replace the injured Usman Khan Shinwari.

Asif Zakir (Right-hand) has scored 136 runs at an average of 22.66, with the high score of 58* in 12 matches. His record is not phenomenal but he is currently one of the best batsmen in the domestic circuit.

Fawad Alam (left-hand) has played 113 matches, scoring 2133 runs, with the best of 70 at an average of 31.36 in T20s. He has also represented Pakistan at international level, playing 24 T20i, scoring 194 runs, at an average of 17.63. His highest is 28. Alam can be dangerous with the ball too.
