Flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi is doubtful for his PSL team Karachi Kings’ qualifier against Islamabad United on Sunday in Dubai.
Sources privy to the matter have confirmed that Afridi, 38, has pain in knees again. Confusion continues to reign supreme about the chances of Karachi Kings’ leg-spinning all-rounder Shahid Afrdi playing in the first playoff against Islamabad United.
For their part, Karachi Kings insist that the veteran will feature in the key fixture. “There is nothing in the news that Afridi won’t be playing in the first playoff,” said a Karachi Kings official.
He has been complaining about pain in his knee and has gone for an MRI, The same injury kept him out for a couple of matches earlier and he’s now facing the same problem,” said the source.
This MRI report suggests Shahid Afridi not to play the PSL playoffs. Doctors are advising the same but Lala is trying his best to make sure he plays tomorrow as it is a big game. Pain killers and injections might give a chance.Prayers Needed
However, a source close to the matter has said that the star all-rounder may miss the match against Islamabad. “Afridi has pain in his knee and may not play the game against Islamabad,” he said.
