Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Sarfraz Ahmed has on Monday made it overtly clear that those foreign players who had refused to visit Pakistan for the playoffs and final would not be included in the drafting process from now onwards.
He was talking to media here in Lahore ahead of high-voltage eliminator against the reigning champions Peshawar Zalmi. Ahmed expressed exasperation over those foreign players who had backtracked on their commitments to visit and play in Pakistan.
“We can do nothing when a player refuses to visit Pakistan”, disgruntled skipper told media personnel.
Talking to media on the same occasion, Zalmi’s all-rounder Mohammad Hafiz termed flagship Pakistan Super League the brand of the country. He said that cricket would return completely in the near future.
Both cricketers urged Pakistan Cricket Board to take concrete steps pertaining to participation of foreign player in those matches of the tournament which would be played in Pakistan.
