The 11th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 will be played between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.

Riding on a high from last night’s win against Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi will look to continue their momentum against Islamabad United in today’s second fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Sharjah Cricket Ground.
Zalmi currently sit second on the points table with four points from three games, two behind Quetta Gladiators, while United are at number four with two points from one match.
Date: Friday, February 22, 2019
Timing: 09:00 PM PKT
Weather: Weather is expected to be clear.
Conditions / Pitch Report: The Sharjah surface should suit the spin bowlers but there is enough in the balanced pitch for the batsmen and seamers too. The pitch has been decent enough for batting, especially in the second half of a game. and that can be comprehended from the results of the last few matches.

1. Islamabad United
No changes are expected from Islamabad but Islamabad United management would be worried about their batsmen’s inability to convert promising thirties into daunting scores.
Luke Ronchi scored a brilliant fifty on a tough pitch against Multan and should be backed for another good performance.
There might be one change in Islamabad United team. Sahibzada Farhan might get a chance today.
In that case Sahibzada Farhan and Luke Ronchi will be opening the innings with Cameron Delport and Hussain Talat coming in the middle order. Asif Ali, Samit Patel, Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan add more depth to their batting.
Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf have ample experience in the international circuit and are must-have players in the side.
Islamabad United’s Probable XI:
1. Luke Ronchi (wk), 2. Sahibzada Farhan, 3. Shadab Khan, 4. Cameron Delport, 5. Asif Ali, 6. Hussain Talat, 7. Wayne Parnell, 8. Samit Patel, 9. Faheem Ashraf, 10. Mohammad Sami (c), 11. Rumman Raees
2. Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar will be captained by Sammy who will be playing the role of an all-rounder. Kamran Akmal should open the batting with Imam and also keep wickets.
Peshawar has a well-tuned pace attack, comprising of Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Umaid Asif and Sameen Gul who can run through the best of batting line-ups with their wicket taking ability as they did against Lahore in Dubai.
Hasan Ali, who ripped apart Kings’ batting line up with his 4 for 15 on Thursday, will be looking to demolish United. He is currently the leading wicket-taker in this PSL with nine wickets from three games.
In the batting department, Imam-ul-Haq who opened his PSL campaign with a disappointing score but made up with a blistering 56 last night, will be looking to add some more runs to his name.
Peshawar Zalmi’s Probable XI:
1. Kamran Akmal, 2. Wayne Madsen, 3. Imam-ul-Haq, 4. Liam Dawson, 5. Kieron Pollard, 6. Darren Sammy, 7. Umar Amin, 8. Umaid Asif, 9. Hasan Ali, 10. Wahab Riaz, 11. Ibtisam Sheikh
Players to watch:
1. Kieron Pollard – Batsman, Peshawar Zalmi
Kieron Pollard is always a dangerous player when it comes to the shortest format of the game. One of the most powerful hitters of the ball, Pollard doesn’t need any time to adjust and can switch gears in an instant.
2. Luke Ronchi – Batsman, Islamabad United
What Shane Watson is to Quetta Gladiators, Luke Ronchi is to Islamabad United. Ronchi is a natural when it comes to big knocks and could be a lethal player for the Islamabad United. A player of his quality is always a danger for opposition bowlers as he often tends to take the game away with his maximums.
3. Shadab Khan – Bowler, Islamabad United
Ranked No 3 in the world ratings for T20 bowlers, the leg-spinner was an integral part of Islamabad’s title win last year. He still only 20, but has long been a mainstay both at international and franchise level. He is held in such high regard that he has been elevated to the role of Islamabad vice-captain, as understudy to veteran quick bowler Mohammed Sami.
4. Darren Sammy – All-rounder, Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi’s skipper Darren Sammy is a utility player. While there may be someone who steals the spotlight, Sammy will be very consistent for Zalmi. Sammy reads the game very well and tunes his batting accordingly. He has been very good with the ball. His slow bowling and variations often put the batsmen in a heap of trouble.
