Always being more than drubbing and out casing drabness since last seasons of PSL sticking to the last stop, Lahore Qalandars have always been hindered and foiled.
Qalandars today’s performance in the first innings has been so astonishing as they have rocked the ground with their massive hits crossing the boundaries.
Such an inning that compasses four sixes in an over is so rarely glanced. Today, Qalandars have set-up the highest and magnificent target of PSL 2020 against the Gladiators declaring 210 over them to be chased.
The pitch with the green patches that might skit the ball has worked in favor of Qalandars as the outrage knocks by Ben Dunk and Samit Patel have geared Qalandars to the peaks. Dunk has managed to reach a milestone of achieving most sixes in an innings of PSL breaking the prior record of Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal.

With the rising run rate, the wider margin has been occupied and Qalandars making an impressive comeback after 3 consecutive defeats are leaving nothing behind to be disappointed.
However, it is disgusting to know that Qalandars still would have to stick on the last spot as other franchises have very much better stats than them and yes, the run rate along with points too.
The only thing Qalandars might need in later times is the consistency that they have been lacking so far and deficit of. In the current match, victory by all the means looks to be in Qalandars’ hand with the handy target and mighty well with the ball in the field.
Well, it ain’t that easy to stick on a consistent momentum being Qalandars as the blunders they have blown against Islamabad United which became working even for the last batsman, not a batsman actually the bowler, working and playing sensible shots in the end to the pacer heading the side to the victory.
A single no-ball in the termination can even result negatively for a team like Qalandars who today have done a part that no other franchise has done in the PSL. All the hats-off to Ben Dunk and Samit Patel for exploiting the Gladiators, the current title defenders!
