PSL is a league that holds immense importance for the people belonging to Pakistan. Not only the league itself but the teams also have vast numbers of fan followings. Let’s go through all the significant aspects of Multan Sultans. It is owned by Ali khan Tareen. The current captain is Shan Masood. The team is coached by Andy Flower. It just came into existence in 2017. The team home ground is Multan’s cricket stadium and they are celebrated by the nickname ‘ janoob ki pehchaan’. Neelam Muneer and Momal sheikh were named as brand ambassadors.
It’s time to rewind to 2016 and relive their performances in all seasons

Season 3

This was the inaugural season for Multan sultans. They began their journey of PSL on a winning note by defeating the defending champions-Peshawar Zalmi. They also won the following match against Lahore qalandars but the sunshine started to shine a little dimmer as Islamabad United beat them in the next contest. Their game against kings couldn’t be played due to it being washed out. They however did beat the gladiators conveniently in the next encounter. They again won against Zalmi but failed against the gladiators the next time they met. They couldn’t qualify for the finals and finished in the 5th position.

Season 4

The tournament begins on a losing note as Karachi kings defeated them. They did win against united but out of their 5 games they lost 4 and won only one. The second match they won was once again against united. The team lost the next three matches and became the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. They finished fifth once again as they were able to win only 3 times, the third one was against qalandars.

Season 5

They were the underdogs this year but they stunned everyone with their brilliant performance. Played some of their matches in their own home ground between their own people and they didn’t disappoint even a bit. Finished first on the table, qualified for the playoffs but weren’t able to reach the finals that were to be played in Karachi. But this was one of their best performance s of all three of their seasons.

Wish them the very best of luck for season six.
