Nadeem Omar, an owner of the successful franchise of fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators, has shaded light on retaining Sarfaraz Ahmad as the skipper of the franchise as long as he plays and doesn’t resign.
Sarfaraz, the former Pakistani captain who led the team to number one spot in ICC T20I rankings, has been the part of the Quetta Gladiators as a skipper for several times. In PSL 4, he has taken the team to the finals and then towards the much deserved victory.
The owner of the Quetta Gladiators has clarified in his statements that Sarfaraz will remain the captain of their franchise as long as he won’t leave the franchise. He is satisfied with him to this much aspect. Omar has also mentioned about his desire that he wants to see matches to be played at Quetta as well but his this will have to be neglected due to the freezing temperature out there at Quetta.
“As long as Sarfaraz Ahmed keeps on playing cricket, he will remain our captain,” Omar was quoted as saying by Daily Jang.
“There are no ambiguities regarding his leadership abilities.”
It is to be clarified among the readers that the first match is to be played at National Stadium, Karachi on February 20th, 2020 between Quetta Gladiators that rocked the ground last time with their exceptional performance and Islamabad United who have remained two times PSL winners out of four seasons happened till now.
