The left-handed opening batsman, Shan Masood, has been chosen as the skipper for one of the Pakistan Super League’s franchises (PSL), Multan Sultans, for the fifth edition of PSL as per the official announcement.
Modern cricket demands a captain who is at the top of both the physical and the mental game. Our #SultansKaKaptaan is unmatched in his physicality & intellect. He is an elite level athlete with a deeply analytical mind. He is Shan Masood! Our #ShandarKaptaan! ?? pic.twitter.com/JFgTQzz1od

Shan was previously to be named as Multan Sultans captain as the media reports have informed. He will be replacing Shoaib Malik as the skipper.
The Multan Sultans failed miserably under Shoaib Malik’s captaincy. They won 4 matches and lost 5 out of 10 games with a total of 9 points.
However, the officials had announced prior in an unclear manner and fans were almost sure that Shan is to be the next captain of the franchise.
