Things that made news for PSL recently

The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is just two days away from now and the freaks have started counting hours. Preparations are on the height as many superstars are all set to rock the ground by their astonishing performances on 20th February 2020 at National Stadium, Karachi to be chased up by an opening match between the current title defenders, Quetta Gladiators and two times PSL champions, Islamabad United.

Along with the cricket enthusiasts, local and foreign players are eagerly waiting for the league to be kicked-off. Many international stars have already reached Pakistan to be a grace for local citizens such as Chadwick Walton, Shane Watson, Alex Hales, Darren Sammy, etc.

Concerning the current title defending franchise, Quetta Gladiators is probable to miss the star speedster, Naseem Shah, who has become the youngest to grab a test-hat-trick in last played test at Rawalpindi against Sri Lanka as he developed pain around his left rib cage. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel has advised him to take rest for first two matches of Gladiators at least; first against Islamabad United and second again Peshawar Zalmi so he can regain the momentum and potential to deliver the utmost performance in rest of the league.

PCB, on the other hand, has officially revealed the prize money for the winning team that would be $500K whereas the total amount to be distributed among top performers, prize holders or the record makers is worth $1 Million. The runner-up team is to get a cheque of $200K. The award will also be distributed to the relevant milestones achieved such as player of the match, best bowler, best batsman, most sixes, the spirit of the cricket award, etc.

The winning skipper of PSL 2019 edition, Sarfaraz Ahmad has been facing some bad luck by 2019 as at first, he was sacked off from captaincy, then national squad, and now everyone especially fans have taken notice of his elimination from the billboards at National Stadium, Karachi as he has not been picturized.

Also, the practice matches between the franchises have begun so that players can learn better strategies to implement in the important match days. The fun activities on the other side are also going on for the refreshment of the players. Every player is confident regard to their performance. Kamran Akmal wants to retag his title of highest run-scorer as well Amir Yamin of Karachi Kings is confident enough to dominate.,
