Things that made news in PSL recently

The fifth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is to kick off its initiative match on February 20th between the two times PSL winners, Islamabad United and 2019s’ PSL champions, Quetta Gladiators followed by a bombastic opening ceremony at National Stadium, Karachi.

After the 2009s attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, Dominic Cork, the former English bowler passed out some harsh comments over the security concerns in Pakistan and denounced that he will never come back to Pakistan in his lifetime. As the security woes are on their way to the solution, PSL is to be entirely held in Pakistan this time. Dominic Cork has changed his opinion about Pakistan and has revealed that he will be part of the commentary panel for PSL 2020.

All in all, being relevant to commentary, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in an officially released video has revealed that local commentators will be calling the action in Urdu, the national language of Pakistan, for five overs in every respective inning to be carried on local feeds so the fans for the very first time can enjoy the action in their own mother tongue.

Earlier, PCB has announced a 16-member panel for the commentary which also incorporates the foreign commentators and presenters.

Considering the foreigners, many international stars have arrived in Pakistan to join and play for their respective franchises and to enjoy every bit of Pakistan’s traditions. Darren Sammy, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi has been the first man to arrive in Pakistan for the most-awaited T20 league to be initiated a few days after.

Many players from Karachi Kings have also arrived at Pakistan such as Cameron Delport, Chadwick, and Alex Hales. The newly appointed head coach of Kings’, Dean Jones has also reached with his strategic plans with which they will be challenging the trophy as Wasim Akram trusts the Kings’ bowling line-up to a bigger extent.

On the whole, the two local players, Hassan Ali and Naseem Shah have been given fitness clearance so that the duo can be available for PSL 2020. Naseem recently got injured after a mind-bashing hat-trick against Bangladesh and Hassan Ali has gotten some back issues directly after his marriage.

PCB has also given signals to add more venues by PSL 2021 which probably might be a good news for cricket freaks among the nation. Stadiums like as of Faisalabad and Peshawar are to be added however along with Multan, the three stadiums have hosted National T20 Cup matches previously. They have also started the renovation of Hyderabad stadium to make it an international platform.

However, the trophy for PSL 2020 is set to be unveiled on February 19 at Karachi’s National Stadium, one day prior to the biggest opening ceremony and the first match of the league.
