The most awaited match of the year for Pakistani cricket fans is just 1 day away. Peshawar Zalmi from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will take on the Quetta Gladiators of Balochistan at the capital of Punjab to play the final of Pakistan Super League Season 2.
Pakistani star all rounder Shahid Afridi won’t be able to play the final due to his injury yesterday during the match against Karachi Kings but the good news is that 10 foreign players are coming to Pakistan and are expected to arrive tonight on the Pakistani Soil.
Peshawar Zalmi’s all five international players are coming to Pakistan, which include West Indian all rounder Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels and three English players including Chris Jordan, Samit Patel and David Malan.
Unfortunately Quetta Gladiators’ existing players won’t be coming to Lahore, but Quetta management picked 5 new International Cricketers which include 35 year old bowler Ryad Emrit of West Indies who plays for Guyana Amazon Warriors, Highly Experienced Morne van Wyk who also represented Kolkata Knight Riders, Elton Chigumbura who represented Quetta Gladiators last year and also visited Lahore to play 5 international matches against Pakistan. Another Zimbabwean player is also coming Sean Ervine who came to Lahore in 2015. Last but the biggest one of the all is Anamul Haque Bijoy from Bangladesh who will play a major role in the Quetta’s line up. Last year’s Gladiator Aizaz Cheema is called back into the team after the injury of Umar Gul
This is the biggest match in Pakistan since 2009, it is not an international match but existing world champion team’s captain and batsman are coming to Lahore to play a match along with other active international players from England which is a big step towards regular cricket in Pakistan.
