Review of Pakistan & World XI

When ICC repudiated to help Pakistan in the days of its ups and downs, Najam Sethi stood vigorously. He took all his critics down by successfully systematizing the big PSL Final in LAHORE. Despite the fact that ICC warned the foreign players, he kept persuading the players and succeeded in making a positive image of Pakistan & finally PSL final bore fruit and cricket is coming home this season with the players having great name in a cricketing world.

Pakistan cricket suffered due to absence of home grounds. Stadiums had been sustained since 2009. Youngsters made their debut away from the home from their very first match. Even a team like Bangladesh has beaten Australia recently at its home ground, off course. That validates the fact that home grounds have a huge impact on a team’s performance. Never the less Bangladeshis played their heart out and on the day they emerged out as a better side.

Coming to the squads, Pakistan has a well-balanced team having fresh blood with high morales coming from the recently conquered Champion Trophy. Pakistan is going with its brutal fast bowlers : Hassan Ali, Rumman , Sohail Khan. Amir’s speedy in swinging deliveries will be a treat to watch. Pakistan has got a dashing opener ( Fakhar Zaman) and on the other hand struggling Shahzad would love to gain his form back. Pakistan’s middle order is proficient and solid with the likes of Malik , Hafeez , Sarfaraz. Variety of all rounders securing place in the team. Good to see Amir Yamin getting a chance to play with the wonder kid Shahdab Khan(lookout for his googlies).

On the other hand World XI is going only with 2 pacers in the squad ; M Morkel & B Cutting. As per news Gaddafi stadium’s  ground has been recreated and pitch has got some bounce now. Three pacers would have been better but anyhow they have got a world-class spinner ; Imran Tahir. Classical duo ( Amla & Plessis) will be opening, T Perara and D Miller will be flourishing the Elevens with some power hitting.

They’ve got a good team all around but a little bit unbalanced. Hope these will be cracker of the games and will go according to the plan and will pave the way for international cricket in Pakistan. Watch out for CricketkiHala.
