Shoaib Akhtar announces his comeback in PSL. Here’s how Wasim Akram and Amir reacts

Recently a tweet from the veteran Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar left everyone stunned, In which he announced a supposed comeback in the PSL, that starts on February 14.

Shoaib Akhtar piqued curiosity of his fans with a latest video message on twitter announcing his come back.

The ex Pakistan cricketer retired from international cricket in 2011 and has appeared in exhibition games, including the Sachin’s Blasters vs Warne’s Warriors match in the United States. Regarded as the fastest bowler in history, Akhtar has 178 and 247 Test and ODI wickets respectively to his name. Besides he has also bagged 19 wickets in his short-lived T20I career.

Here’s what Akhtar tweeted:

Akhtar’s original Tweet said, “Hello 14th February is the date, mark your calendars guys. Main bhi araha hun iss baar league khelnay. Aakhir inn bachon ko bhi pata chalay kay tezi hoti kia hai! #shoaibisback #Pakistan”. This he said in a video message on his Twitter account.

Translation: “Kids these days think they know a lot of things, and they also think they can challenge my speed too. So kids, I am coming back and will show you what speed is. I, too, will play the league. So this is my announcement, now stay safe.” Akhar says in a video posted on his Twitter account without revealing what he is up to.

Former captain Wasim Akram was equally surprised by the speedstar’s video message. The legend Wasim Akram expressed his shock over Akhtar’s tweet with a reply to it.

“Shaibi.. Is this actually happening? You’re coming back? The kids these days could use some of your tezi. #shoaibisback,” Akram  wrote while commenting on Akhtar’s video message.

After Wasim Akram, The Pakistani star fast bowler Mohammad Amir was also surprised by Akhtar’s tweet. But Amir’s tweet had much more excitement to express than shock.

“Sirrrr… Aap ki tezi ko Hum sab bohat miss karte hain.. We need you!! Aajaaen Aur chhaa jaaen!! #Shoaibisback @shoaib100mph,” read Amir’s comment in response to Shoaib Akhtar’s tweet.

Liker Wasim Akram and Mohammad Amir, Pakistani batsman Shoaib Malik was also surprised by Akhtar’s tweet.

The fans are speculating that Shoaib Akhtar might have joined the Pakistan Super League  (PSL) in some capacity.
