The ‘babysitting’ saga, which began with the funny banter between Australian skipper Tim Paine and Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant during the Boxing Day Test in Melborune, just doesn’t seem to end.
No one would have in their wild imaginations predicted that Paine asking Pant to babysit his kids while he is away would become a reality. The banter went so far that Paine’s wife Bonnie Paine also got involved. And now, she has taken it one step forward and just added to the banter.
There were many hilarious trolls and comments about the same. However, the best reaction came from Paine’s wife Bonnie when the two teams visited the Prime Minister’s residence in Sydney before the start of the fourth Test.
Days after she posed with Pant holding her kids, Mrs. Paine has taken to Instagram to ask if the Indian wicketkeeper would be free enough to babysit her young ones till the time she does her unpacking.
Rishabh Pant, are you free?
Just as it seemed as if this banter might have come to an end, Bonnie Paine was at it yet again. She posted another Instagram story where she was holding her baby. She wrote: ‘Trying to unpack with a needy baby.’
“Trying to unpack with a needy baby. Wonder if Rishabh Pant is free for a babysitting gig today,” she wrote, holding a baby in her arms.
Furthermore, she also tagged Rishabh Pant in the story and asked him if he was free for a babysitting gig. ‘Wondering if @rishabhpant is free for a babysitting gig today,’ Bonnie added.
Earlier during the meeting of the players of the two teams with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Bonne Paine clicked a photo with Pant at the location, and captioned it ‘Best Babysitter’.
The skipper’s wife posed for a picture with the Indian wicketkeeper. Also, the kids were with her and Pant was kind enough to hold one of them in his shoulders. After that, Bonnie put up an Instagram story with the same picture and wrote: ‘Best babysitter?’.

When queried, how the whole photo opportunity was set up, Paine revealed that with his wife Bonnie present at PM’s house during the meet, they opted to go for a quick photograph to make the banter memorable. Paine went on to praise Pant’s sportsmanship spirit and said the chatter between the two has been light-hearted and friendly.
