Just a matter of 21 Balls for Usman Shinwari

Usman Khan’s fiery left-arm pace bowling sent Sri Lanka packing in the fifth ODI against Pakistan in Sharjah on Monday. The burly left-arm pacer took five wickets for 34 runs as Sri Lanka were all out for paltry 103 (26.2 overs) in a match where they were playing for pride.

Usman Khan was on a hattrick as Sri Lanka were in tatters after opting to bat. Usman Khan took the first five Sri Lankan wickets to fall with the scoreboard reading a horrible 20.

Usman’s effort was the third-quickest five-wicket haul in ODI history.

Anthony Stuart (5-26) took five wickets for 2 runs in the space of (14 balls), including a hat-trick.


The Sri Lankan Seamer, Chaminda Vaas took five wickets of just 16 balls against Bangladesh with a hat-trick on the first 3 deliveries of the innings.


Van Der Gugten took a five wickets haul with in just 20 balls against Canada.


Usman Shinwari took five wickets for 12 runs in the space of (21 balls). He created a record of quickest to get 5 wicket haul. This is the fastest by a Pakistani bowler. Usman Khan replaced injured Amir in the series against Sri Lanka but who knew that he would do wonders and make the world stunned.

Who is Usman Khan??

Usman Khan Shinwari, a young left arm medium fast bowler who first awestruck everybody in his domestic cricket, than he groomed himself playing for Karachi Kings and now he is proudly playing in the green kit. Let’s go few years back when this raw talent impressed everybody with his bowling.

In 2013, 19-year-old took 5 for 9 to help Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) beat Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the final of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup for departments in December. This was the first time when he made his parents proud.

Twenty third October 2017, 23 years old has took a fifer for the second time for 12 runs against Sri Lanka which has immensely helped boys in green to overpower the boys in blue. Usman Khan Shinwari again has made his parents head high.
